Programs & Services

Person-to-Person offers assistance to clients in four key areas: Emergency Assistance, Scholarship Program, Campership Program and Holiday Programs.

Emergency Assistance Program
Emergency Food Pantry: Provides groceries to prepare meals
Grants and Loans Program: Provides financial assistance for families
Medical Grants Program: Provides for expenses, such as prescriptions, not covered by insurance
Clothing Center: Provides gently used clothing and linens to people
Budgeting Assistance Program: Counsels numerous clients in creating a spending plan
Baby Basics Program: Delivers new layettes with infant necessities to parents of newborns

Scholarship Program
Harriet T. McCorkle Scholarship program provides funds that help close the gap between what college students can raise and earn on their own and what is needed to cover tuition, fees and textbooks
Additional scholarship funds are made available through the generosity of the Lockhart Fund and the Napolitano Family Fund

Campership Program
Sends Stamford elementary and middle-school children from low-income families to local day camps

Holiday Programs
Toy Store: Provides a new holiday toy and book to children
Dove Program: Provides families with holiday boxes of food from local families
Be-A-Santa: Provides new basic essentials including linens and dishes, and coats and other clothing donated by employees of Lower Fairfield County businesses
