"One day a woman came in and she had a little boy with her. I asked if I could help her and she said 'Yes, I'm homeless and I need to speak with somebody here.' I was just so taken aback. Who knows what circumstances had led her to this moment. Had she been in another community, she might not have had a place to which she could turn."
