"The holiday programs are very rewarding, for those who give as well as those who receive. Through the Toy Store, the children of our clients receive a new toy and book. The Dove Program provides a full day of holiday meals. And Be-A-Santa provides items of clothing or household goods that are distributed to our clients throughout the year."

Three programs help our clients and their families have a happy holiday.
Dove Program: This program has been coordinated by Person-to-Person for more than 40 years and provides a full day of food at the holidays for approximately 800 seniors or families. Local churches display paper doves representing a family or individual in need. Congregants then choose a dove, shop for the groceries listed and wrap them all up in large Christmas boxes. Twenty churches in Stamford, Darien and New Canaan participate.
Toy Store: A temporary free "store" is set up in St. Luke's Parish Hall in Darien for clients who have visited the Clothing Center at least six times during the year. New age-appropriate toys and books are displayed so clients can "shop" for a free gift and book for their child.
Be-A-Santa: Employees of Lower Fairfield County businesses participate in this program by fulfilling requests for clothing and other essentials. These are purchased and donated to Person-to-Person for distribution to clients throughout the year.
